Election 2008

Health Care reform will undoubtedly be one of the key issues in the 2008 Presidential race. The US Census Bureau estimates there were 44.8 million uninsured individuals in 2005. In recent years programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP have come under scrutiny. States have adopted bold strategies to address the health care crisis including a plan from Massachusetts aiming for universal coverage. Below are links to a guide on presidential candidate health care positions on the New York Times and candidate official websites.
